Wannabe Photographer

Last Tuesday we had our first class field trip into the city. I got to use my tripod, and of course am now only using the camera in manual - finally!!

I know I need lots of practice, and I already have a lot of 'practice sessions' lined up so hopefully the pictures can only get better.
I spent most of the night playing around with my camera settings, and trying to understand what did what!

Here are some of what I got:

That's it!
I can't wait for the next session and it is already lined up!
Bring it on!

I had this weird complex as a kid - I always wanted to be everyone's best friend. It was one of my favorite questions to ask people : " who is your best friend? " (That, and "do you want to have a race?")

I only wanted to have one best friend, one mega friend who I could tell all my other friends that she/he was the best one. But at the same time, I wanted to be that best one for every single person I met!

Most people have 1 or 2 best friends, but I am lucky enough to say I have about two hand fulls. Best friends are people who know you inside out, they know all your idiosyncrasies, all your annoying habits, all your weaknesses, but they love you anyway.

I suppose I am lucky and unlucky at the same time. I am lucky because of the bonds I share with them, but unlucky because of the miles and oceans between us. From Argentina, to USA, to Tunisia, to Mexico, to Poland, to Spain, to England, and back to Ireland again...

If you have a best friend, someone you appreciate, someone you love, tell never know when it's too late.

In no order:

Best friends are sisters who love you unconditionally.

At the Burj, Dubai with Jacqueline

A best friend is someone who can see past your smile and know if you're in pain

Magic Kingdom, Orlando with Maggie

With best friends you don't have to pretend to be someone else. You can be your regular disgusting self around them... (in my case, no make up!!!)

My house, Dublin with Lydia and Yolanda

It's not about being inseperable , it's about being separated but nothing ever changing.

25th Bday, Dublin with Asia

A good friend listens to your adventures, a best friend makes them with you...

Galway with Dearbhla

Best friends do not have to fit a certain stereotype, nor be conventional....

Gammarth, Tunis with Zied

Best friends can lean on you for anything and you can expect the same in return.....

Miami, FL with Belu

Best friends know all your crazy dreams, and believe in you, even if you don't believe in yourself.

25th Bday with Jenny

People who could do anything for you, and expect nothing in return.

Port El Kantaoui with Taoufik

Friends who you have shared so many experiences and you know they will always be there.

Hyde Park, London with Gracie

Friends who are family

Sidi Bou Said with Ali

They are people who will never lie to you - to make you feel better, or to hide something

Howth with Glo

They can laugh with you in times of joy, and cry with you in times of sorrow...

Hyde Park with Sofie

Best friends are people you know you don't need to talk to every day, you don't even need to talk to each other for weeks, but when you do, it's like you never stopped talking - they are people who know so much about you, and you them, you could never really fall out, for fear of the world knowing your darkest secrets!

It's not about who you've known the longest, but who never left your side.

To all of you, a big part of my life is spent figuring out the next way to see you.

Like Audrey Hepburn :

I  believe in Best Friends... I believe in loyalty, in sharing your dreams and in sharing your heartbreaks or your success. I believe in traveling the world together, having fights because you care, and making up because you don't want to be without that person. I believe in the words: forever friends.
